Frequently Asked Questions
Which bike computers and phones work with the TR70? Will it pair with my Garmin or Wahoo?
The TR70 uses the open ANT+ radar protocol + Bluetooth, so it pairs directly with Garmin Edge 530/820/840/1030/1040, Wahoo ELEMNT, Bryton, iGPSPORT, and Geoid CC700 head units — plus COOSPO's own CS500/CS600.
Don't use a bike computer? No problem: the free CoospoRide app (iOS & Android) turns your phone into the radar display. It also fits the standard Garmin quarter-turn mount(but it won't fits Varia radar mount in a correct direction), and every unit ships with round + aero seatpost mounts and a safety tether — ready to ride out of the box.
How far away does it detect vehicles — and will I get constant false alarms?
The TR70's millimeter-wave radar detects vehicles up to 140 m (~150 yards) behind you — roughly 6–10 seconds of reaction time depending on speed. It tracks multiple vehicles at once and plays a clear "all-clear" tone once the road is clear again.
Like any radar, it may occasionally flag a fast-approaching e-bike or heavy traffic as extra noise. Think of it as your "second pair of eyes" — not a replacement for a quick shoulder check.
How long does the battery last, and how do I get the most out of it?
The 1,500 mAh battery delivers up to 50 hours in radar-only/low-power mode — riders regularly document 20+ hours between charges on real rides.
It recharges via USB-C in about 2 hours (we recommend a standard 5W charger). Switch to radar-only mode to stretch runtime on long rides.
